Free Currency Converter Online
A quick conversion with reference exchange rates.
Compare currencies using daily reference rates
Reference rates are useful for comparing values, but they are not an offer to exchange money. Kalika checks Frankfurter first and uses ExchangeRate-API if needed, showing the source and rate date beside the result. The two providers may report different rates. Your entered amount stays local, while currency codes are sent to the selected rate service.
How to use
- Enter the amount and source currency.
- Choose the destination currency.
- Convert and check the rate date and last-checked time alongside your result.
A few useful answers
Are these live trading rates?
No. Frankfurter provides daily reference rates from central banks and official sources. The result includes the date of the supplied rate. Kalika checks on opening and every 15 minutes while this page is visible; daily rates may remain unchanged between checks.
Why does my bank offer a different amount?
Banks and transfer services may add fees or exchange margins. This tool does not include those costs.
What data is sent to the rate provider?
Only the chosen currency codes are requested. The amount is calculated locally. The providers can receive standard connection information, including your IP address. ExchangeRate-API receives only the source currency code.
What happens if rates are unavailable?
Kalika tries an independent backup provider. If both services fail, a rate previously retrieved in this tab is clearly labeled as not refreshed. Without a previous rate, an inline message lets you retry while keeping your entries. Rates are never invented.
